River Safety

If In Doubt Stay Out

If you're at a river and you doubt it’s safe stay out e.g if you think you are going to hit something don’t risk it or you might be at a cliff that everybody else jumps off and you think you will get harmed stay out.

Know Your Limits

Know your limit don’t do things you can’t do and you need to know your limit so you don’t go overboard and get injured so stay on or under your limit. e.g if you don’t know your limit and you go to jump off a diving board and you think you can’t do it don’t do it. If you know your limit you wouldn't do and go back down to the bottom.

Be Supervised

Always go with an adult so if something happens and someone's there to help for example you might get injured in the water and someone is there to help.

Plan Your Trip

Before you go to a river plan it tell someone you're going and tell them when you get back also check the weather if it is bad or good weather.

Check Before you start

Check if it is deep enough for jumping e.g if you went to a really high cliff first go down to the bottom to see if it is deep enough if not don’t jump.

How I Inprooved On Spelling This Week

This week I inprooved on my spelling because I have working on the word disappeared for a term and a couple of weeks but this week in my spelling test I finally got it correct. The tool called learn helped me out get disappeared correct I will tell you how it is spelled D i s a p p e a r e d. I used persistence and didn't give up I kept on trying and I made my way through the gape no matter how long it took.

Geometry Learning

This week I learnt in geometry that out of the uni link cubes you can make 2d shapes for example click this link.  

This Weeks Maths Goal Got Completed

This week my maths goal was taking off and adding back on here is a photo of  how I have improoved. I got three in a row corect and fianaly got the goal completed. I chose it because I new I wouldn't do to bad and I did.

Art Gallery Trip

Rooms 10 and 11 went for a visit to the Len lye art Gallery on Friday. When we arrived the building was covered in stainless steel on the outside. We walked inside and looked up the passageway to see huge, wavy, concrete walls.

Then we split up into two groups room 10 and 11. Room 10 set off with a guy name Chris, and room 11 set off with a woman called Rebecker.

We all went off doing different activities and then swapped activities.

Our favorite sculpture was the massive stainless steel fountain that Len Lye created, as well as Len Lye's wavy Grass, that is also made with stainless steel. The Len Lye’s art area was amazing with so many new and creative ideas, Len Lye did his art using sound, music, sculptures, movies.

He liked big things and he wanted to make some of his own and he did.

Len Lye’s art style is very creative and using your imagination to come up with something new.

The art gallery we thought was incredible, and the building was magnificent the way it was designed.
